The Garden House
The Garden House is a lovely, period property, set in a sheltered position beyond the main house next to the walled garden. It was created from the only surviving wing of the original Killean House, most of which was destroyed by fire. The upper floor housed the Billiard room and its highly decorated ceiling now forms part of one of two bright, spacious apartments which have both been recently refurbished. Built of harled stone under a slated roof, the accommodation comprises:
Gigha -(Sleeps 2)
A beautiful, period one bed apartment located on the upper floor of the Garden House. Retaining many of the original features, including a fantastic, ‘wow-factor’ beamed ceiling in the lounge, and real open fire, the apartment can accommodate two people within the master bedroom (double bed). The property also provides a dining kitchen, bathroom and small entrance hallway and enjoys great elevated views over the gardens, out towards the sea and the islands beyond. A perfect romantic haven for a special long weekend or week away!
Cara -(Sleeps 4)
The larger of the two apartments, is located on the ground floor of the Garden House. The accommodation comprises two bedrooms (double and a twin room), bathroom, dining kitchen, lounge and small entrance hallway. Cara again has stunning views out over the lush tropical gardens towards the bay and the islands of Gigha and Jura beyond. This quaint property is ideal for families with younger children, who could safely play in the adjoining walled garden. The apartments have their own private entrances and can be rented separately for small parties, or together to accommodate larger parties.
