Shooting in Scotland

Throughout the season, here at Killean we can offer excellent opportunities for a number of shooting activities, ranging from an afternoon clay bird competition to a fully catered shooting weekend.

Outstanding walked up and rough shooting is available with a mixed bag including partridge, pheasant, woodcock, snipe and rabbit. We also offer duck flighting on the estate. If deer stalking is your thing, our experienced Gamekeeper, Donald will do his utmost to provide the most opportune moments on the resident Sika stag and hind.

The ground for rough shooting is excellent at Killean and very diverse. The ground ranges from marshy land close to the sea and typical heather moor land on the hills. Wood cock and grouse can be found on the hills along with pheasant and partridge. Both walked up and driven days are available.

**Discounted shooting rates apply to residents staying within one of the rental properties, on the Killean Estate. Minimum hire period is 3 nights. All prices are inclusive of VAT. All guns must hold a valid licence. Secure storage for guns and ammunition will be provided.
